Train Announces US Tour Dates In Support Of New Album 'California 37'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Columbia Records) The Grammy Award winning American rock band Train will hit the road with the group's first set of US tour dates in support of California 37 (the brand-new studio album released April 17), beginning July 26 at the Time Warner Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Guest artists Mat Kearney and Andy Grammer will open select dates of the tour. (Please see full Train tour itinerary following).

In addition to the tour, Train will celebrate the release of California 37 with a variety of select national television appearances (including a weeklong residency as house band on "Rachael Ray") and the launch of "California 37," the third varietal from Train's award-winning Save Me, San Francisco Wine Company.

The much awaited successor to 2009's multi-platinum Save Me, San Francisco (which showcased 2010's "Hey, Soul Sister," the top-selling song of 2010), California 37 is available everywhere now.

Train recorded California 37 in San Francisco and Los Angeles with Butch Walker and Espionage producing.

Released as a digital download in January, "Drive By" has become Train's latest bona fide international sensation and is top 5 across the world and #1 in Germany, Netherlands, Finland, India, New Zealand and Switzerland. In the US the record's currently top 10 at iTunes and #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Drive By" has already sold over 1.5 downloads worldwide.

"Drive By" continues to climb America's radio charts and has entered the Top 10 at both the AAA and HOT AC formats, selling more than 1 million copies since its release. The "Drive By" video premiered on February 18 on VH1, where it has gone into rotation, with support from VEVO.

Train's "Drive By," as well as "Hey, Soul Sister," were featured on an episode of "90210," originally broadcast on March 13, 2012.

Train, who performed "Drive By" on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on March 26, will be making select television appearances, including a historic weeklong residency as house band on "Rachael Ray" which began April 16 and runs through April 20, in support of California 37.

The group also performed on "Dancing with the Stars" last night, with subsequent TV appearances slated for "The Today Show" (April 19), "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (April 23), "The Talk" (April 24), and "The View" (May 22). The group will also appear on "Sesame Street" (with air dates TBD).

Also, in a first, Shazam exclusively streamed California 37 to 200 million fans of their wildly popular mobile application a week prior to street date. Preorder sales of the album exploded at online and digital retailers along side Shazam-enabled TV commercials running the entire week driving to the stream on shows including The Voice and Biggest Loser with partner Brita.

Train will launch its new album with "California 37," a brand-new Cabernet Sauvignon from the Save Me, San Francisco Wine Company. The much-anticipated third varietal from the acclaimed craft winery, "California 37" is a worthy addition to previous varietals, "Drops of Jupiter" (Petite Syrah) and "Calling All Angels" (Chardonnay). A portion of the proceeds from the varietal will go to the San Francisco charity Family House, which provides temporary housing to families of seriously ill children. For more information please visit familyhouseinc.org.

Train's lead singer, Pat Monahan recently made a memorable appearance singing "Marry Me," as a duet with Martina McBride for the on-air nuptials of a New Jersey couple during the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (aired Sunday, April 1).

Train just finished a round of live shows in San Francisco, part of a special hometown run of intimate club shows that began on April 10 at Cafe Du Nord and finished on April 15 at the Fillmore. In addition, Barry Zito, three-time all star and Cy Young award-winning pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, joined Train onstage during their last San Francisco show at the Fillmore.

The multi-platinum band Train made its mark on music history with the Grammy Award-winning song "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)" and chart-topping singles like "Meet Virginia" and "Calling All Angels," earning its third Grammy in 2011 for the worldwide smash "Hey, Soul Sister" from Save Me, San Francisco. The top-selling single of 2010, "Hey, Soul Sister" hit #1 at radio in the US and in 15 countries abroad. Save Me, San Francisco has sold over one million albums worldwide and over ten million tracks. In addition to taking the sales and radio worlds by storm, Train has made numerous television appearances, performing on the NFC Championship Game, American Music Awards, the Grammy Nomination Concert, Crossroads, The Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Monday Night Football, A&E Private Sessions, America's Got Talent, The View, Dancing With The Stars, and Live With Regis and Kelly, Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Bachelor, Rachael Ray and more.
