NEW YORK (Sanctuary Records) - Sanctuary Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer Merck Mercuriadis is delighted to announce the distribution deal recently put in to place between the Sanctuary Records Group and Drive-Thru Records, led by founders Richard and Stefanie Reines. "Richard and Stefanie are throwbacks. Like a Chris Blackwell or a Geoff Travis, they live, eat and breathe music and understand not only their artists but their artists' audience. They have a feel for not only records, but also touring, merchandise, publishing, and management and are a complement to our 360 degree model. Their success speaks for itself and combined with our expertise, I believe they are one of the most exciting labels in America."

Since their debut on the music scene in 1996, Drive-Thru has grown at an astounding rate not only in size, but in the scope of musical genres represented by the label. Once run from the dining room table with no employees, the label has developed in to a respected brand among kids in the US, UK and Japan, selling over 5 million CDs worldwide. Drive-Thru is credited with the discovery and development of Dashboard Confessional, New Found Glory, Finch, Something Corporate, Senses Fail and The Starting Line to name a few. Recently, the label made some changes to its roster, supplementing the pop/punk/emo sound with indie rock acts An Angle and I Can Make A Mess Like Nobody's Business, classic rock bands Steel Train and Socratic and the synth-pop HelloGoodbye.

To the industry and the legions of consumers worldwide who support the brand, the label and its owners Richard Reines and Stefanie Reines have made Drive-Thru one of the most well respected and successful independent record labels around. Via the artists they sign, their keen eye for developing new talent and unwavering support of the music scene, Drive-Thru Records has become an important lifestyle and fan community all to themselves, with Drive-Thru branded merchandise nearly as prevalent and in demand as their music. A testament to their success is last year's Drive-Thru Invasion US and UK world tour, which was one of the top grossing tours of the year, with over 37,000 US tickets sold.

The future of Drive-Thru Records continues to thrive, with future superstars such as The Early November, Home Grown, Hidden in Plain View, Halifax and Allister on the horizon.
