New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Universal Music Enterprises) Celebrate your favorite father this June 17 with the gift of music! Universal
Music Enterprises (UMe) has something for every Dad with new releases from Dean Martin,
George Harrison and more!
There is only one man who Playboy called "the coolest man who ever lived" and who
Elvis Presley worshipped and admired. Simply put, that man is
Rat Pack legend Dean Martin. He is one of the greatest recording artists of all time with a career spanning almost 50 years. UMe releases DEAN MARTIN - COLLECTED COOL, the first and only career-defining, four-disc box set that combines his biggest hits and signature tunes from both his Capitol Records and Reprise years. Live rarities and spoken word intros make their CD debut including, in its entirety, the rare and unreleased audio recording of his 1962 Lake Tahoe show capturing Martin's unique vocal styling that cemented his reputation as one of the most revered and emulated artists of all time. COLLECTED COOL also offers a DVD of a live performance filmed at the London Apollo
Victoria Theatre in 1983. This show only aired on cable in 1983 for a brief time and has never been aired or available since then.
Martin Scorsese's GEORGE HARRISON: LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD, which premiered on HBO last October, makes its home video debut in North America. UMe released the film in three editions: 2-DVD set, Blu-ray, and a
Deluxe Edition that includes the DVD, Blu-ray, special packaging and a 96-page book of photography to accompany the film, plus the 10-track CD EARLY TAKES Volume 1, featuring previously unreleased music from
George Harrison. EARLY TAKES Volume 1 is also available independent of the
Deluxe Edition in CD, digital and 180-gram vinyl formats. EARLY TAKES Volume 1 is a pivotal companion piece to this critically acclaimed documentary and features previously unreleased recordings from Harrison.
Also recently released, box sets of iconic artists celebrating milestones include:
