UMTV Shoots And Scores With The Release Of 'The England Players' Playlist'  Out Monday 2 June
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) UMTV are releasing the 'The England Players' Playlist' on Monday 2 June, an 18 track compilation album of upbeat chart hits and dance anthems personally handpicked by members of the England football squad, including England Captain Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney, Joe Hart, Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin.

Two song choices are announced today: Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart has selected Sonnentanzby Klangkarussell, and Man Utd defender Phil Jones' personal pick is Duke Dumont's I Got U featuring Jax Jones.

MTV UK will broadcast a special 90-minute programme on Sunday 1 June at 11am on MTV Music - 'Boys in Brazil: England Squad Playlist' - in which they will exclusively reveal the remaining England player picks. Some of the players' track choices will be revealed in the week prior to the show - football fans should keep their eye on the ball via www.EnglandPlaylist.com for more information.

Promising to motivate and inspire sports fans across the UK who will be cheering on the England team during the World Cup in June, as well as accompanying England's finest footballers on their journey to Brazil, 'The England Players' Playlist' kicks off with a hat trick of chart hits: Bastille's PompeIi,The Lumineers Ho Hey and John Newman's Love Me Again and scores goals with Drake'sStarted From The Bottom, Chase and Status' Blk and Bluand Robin Thicke Blurred Lines. This collection continues with dance favourites like Avicii's Wake Me Up and Turn Back Time by Sub Focus, and closes with a clear winning shot by Disclosure with You And Me.

The England Players' Playlist is released in conjunction with the England Footballers Foundation who will receive 10% of proceeds from all physical and digital album sales. Since the charity's inception in 2007, the England squad have donated their international match fees to the foundation and this exciting new album will continue their valuable support.

England Captain Steven Gerrard said: "All of the players are committed to the England Footballer's Foundation and are proud to partner with Universal Music on this unique album. It has been an enjoyable experience pulling together our favourite track selections for our England fans, and importantly this product is helping us to raise vital funds and awareness for the charitable causes we choose to support."
