(Launch) - The Dave Matthews Band, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix and Carlos Santana are among the artists featured in "My Generations," a new documentary film that "probes the culture, myth and evolution of the Woodstock phenomenon." The film, directed by Academy Award-winning director Barbara Kopple, also captures appearances at the three Woodstock festivals (1969, 1994, 1999) by the Who, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, Rage Against The Machine, the Allman Brothers, Green Day, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Limp Bizkit, Nine Inch Nails and Cypress Hill. "'My Generations' is a film about generation contrast and change," says a spokesperson. "It is about peace, love and violence; about commercial exploitation, music and artistry; and about a profound desire for fraternity and self-fulfillment." "My Generations" has its world premiere on the Encore network Aug. 17.
