New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Tony Moore Music) May 13th sees the release of a brand new single from emerging artist ILONA which also simultaneously marks the 2nd anniversary of her first EVER live performance on May 13th 2011.
Despite the provocative title, "LOVE IS STUPID" actually has a positive message about Love. ILONA says "The lyrics describe someone who just can't sleep because the person they want is consuming their thoughts. Yet, the pain and discomfort this causes, makes her question why Love has to be so complicated".
Love Is Stupid was recorded and mixed by Sam Kennedy whose recent work includes FOXES and Ruth Lorenzo.
"The songs upbeat rhythm and infectious chorus has already won over so many fans at ILONA's live shows that it felt like a natural choice to be the lead track from her upcoming album" commented Manager/Producer Tony Moore, himself a well known veteran of the music business.
In the two years since making her debut as a singer, ILONA has managed to cram in an enormous amount of experience. She has toured pretty much every part of the UK, played Hop Farm festival twice, been invited to take part in the prestigious South By South West Conference in Texas, gigged in LA and even played a show in Tromso (Norway), one of the most Northerly cities in the world.
She was a special guest performer at the BBC London Xmas party 2011, entertained TEAM USA in their safe house during the Olympics and has played hundreds of other gigs in between. ILONA has also made a number of critically acclaimed videos, the first of which won Best Video of the year at the LadyLake Independent

For 2013 ILONA's already been booked to headline the Riverside Stage at Cornbury Festival and will be at BeachBreak, Liverpool Soundcity, Inverness GO North as well as many other music events through the Summer.

Born in Bulgaria to a Russian Mother, Ilona moved to the UK when she was 14. She has always had a natural ability to communicate, speaking fluent Russian, Bulgarian, English and German. ILONA studied at the renowned
Queen Mary University in London where she specialized in languages before embarking on her music career.
Tony Moore's career includes being an original member of Iron Maiden, Playing keyboards for Cutting Crew, founding and running the
Kashmir Klub and latterly The Bedford where he has helped many artists at the start of their careers including
Paolo Nutini,
James Morrison, Newton Faulkner,
KT Tunstall and Ed Sheeran
