Best Of Demotape Clinic Compilation 2016!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) m4music, the pop music festival by Migros Culture Percentage, brings out the compilation "The Best of Demotape Clinic 2016" on June 15, 2016. The compilation's 14 promising demos reveal what Switzerland's pop music newcomers have been up to lately. The compilation is available for streaming on Youtube and mx3.ch as well as on www.m4music.ch/en/demotape-clinic.

The Demotape Clinic is the Swiss music industry's most prestigious newcomer competition. On the occasion of its 18th edition, fresh talents from all over Switzerland submitted 705 songs, covering the categories pop, rock, urban and electronic. A jury listened in on all of these songs to select the best for presentation at m4music, the pop music festival by Migros Culture Percentage, on April 15 and 16, 2016. Industry experts discussed the tracks in front of the festival audience, passing on their valuable advice to the bands.

For the 11th time, the most interesting demos, among them also the winner of the Fondation SUISA Award, have been united on a compilation - "The Best of Demotape Clinic 2016". m4music festival director Philipp Schnyder von Wartensee is very happy: "We are using m4music's network to make sure the tracks reach as many music business pros as possible so they get to listen to today's most promising newcomers. By switching from CD to playlists on Youtube and mx3.ch, we make it really easy for the audience at large to discover new bands."

Switzerland's pop music scene: busy and diverse
The compilation's first track Come To Naught is by Veronica Fusaro, who won not only the pop category, but also the main prize "Demo of the Year 2016". The nineteen-year-old from Thun convinced everyone with a song she produced herself. She was subsequently also selected as SRF Best Talent of the month. Switzerland's French speaking part is where the winner in the category urban - Pink Flamingo - comes from. The musician from Geneva is featured on the compilation twice, once with his own song and also as the producer forMakala, his label buddy. Audio Dope from Basel, who won the electronic category, is currently working on his debut album. As is the case for his winning song "Unconditional", he will be collaborating with a string of different singers. Finally, the category "Rock" went to John Gailo. The track "Brain" let the band from Zurich in their signature white masks rise above all the others. But not only the Demotape Clinic winners are responsible for musical furore: Odd Beholder just released their first EP. One of their catchy pop songs has found its way onto the compilation.
