NEW YORK (Bruce Springsteen Fans Website) - Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa have committed themselves to a benefit performance on February 20. The husband-and-wife duo will appear at a fundraiser for DoubleTake magazine at the Somerville Theater in Somerville, Massachusetts. Ticket information was still being worked out at press time, but it's expected that they'll go on sale Monday (January 27) at the box office and through Ticketmaster's phone and Internet services, and that they'll cost $1,000 and $5,000 each.

The magazine has been in business since 1995, but a message at its website (doubletakemagazine.org), dated December 2002, reads, "DoubleTake has temporarily suspended publication pending further funding. Thank you for your support and patience. We hope to be on newsstands again soon."

Springsteen's relationship with the publication goes back five years to an interview in the spring 1998 issue that dealt with the effect books and movies have on his writing and the culture of celebrity, among other things.
