Che'Nelle's Summertime Treat 'I Fell in Love With the DJ' Featuring Cham is a Pop and Rhythmic Breakout!!!

NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) - Just say the name of Capitol Records debut artist CHE'NELLE, and the vast majority of listeners will flash on something that's intoxicating to the senses, impossible to duplicate, and a globe-spanning leader of fashion.

That shoe couldn't fit the artist more perfectly, and the world will dance in it. 'I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE DJ,' the exuberant call to the dance floor by CHE'NELLE, with a featured vocal appearance by dancehall star CHAM ("Ghetto Story"), is one of the fastest-breaking tunes at mainstream pop and rhythmic radio, bringing both heat and refreshment to the clubs and airwaves of Summer 2007. Major radio noise is already building in New York and several locations in the South.

A video of the single, featuring Cham, will be serviced in mid-July; a digital single is already released, and a ring tune will become available on July 17th.

With a launch song so irresistibly danceable, CHE'NELLE will be continuing a comprehensive national club and radio tour through the summer, with appearances tied to local radio mix-shows. CHE'NELLE will co-host The Big 10 with MTV TRL VJ Damien on July 17th, and she will also be seen in the pages of King, Vibe, Interview, Yellow, SOJO, East/West, and other magazines through the summer.

The 24-year-old CHE'NELLE, born in Sabah, Malaysia of combined Malaysian, Indian and Dutch parentage, developed her singing in her dad's karaoke bar, and on the local Perth, Australia club scene, where she first encountered hip-hop music in her teens.

In a Cinderella story that's undeniably a sign of the post-2K times, it was her array of home-studio demos, pictures and local club flyers posted on her MySpace page that drew the attention of American DJ veteran Sir Charles Dixon. Through Dixon's introduction, she was signed to the roster of the then-Virgin Records by Capitol Music Group Chairman and CEO Jason Flom, greatly impressed by how much and how well she'd written and produced on her own. Paired to co-write with such worldwide hit makers as Sean Garrett and James Poyser, CHE'NELLE more than proved herself, holding her own with the most successful pop and urban producers in music and turning in an album of pure pleasure.

CHE'NELLE's album THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON will be released September 25th 2007 on Capitol Records.
