Dannie Marie Releases "Anything I Wanna Be" To Country Radio
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) SoCal singer-songwriter Dannie Marie is embarking on a Spring Break radio tour April 2-13 to promote the release of the first single and title track from her forthcoming CD, and bring her brand of 'bro country with a dose of estrogen' to the airwaves. Recorded in Nashville with a full band, 'Anything I Wanna Be' will be distributed by PlayMPE to 1,200 radio stations. To coincide with the April release to iTunes and May release to radio, Dannie Marie will visit a dozen stations spanning nearly 1,000 miles from Bullhead City, AZ to Crescent City, CA for interviews and acoustic performances.

Featuring banjo and a catchy chorus, 'Anything I Wanna Be' sounds like a mix of Taylor Swift and Sam Hunt, and was written while Dannie Marie was pursuing an acting career in LA. As she calls out Hollywood for the unrealistic and 'plastic' standards they set for beauty and success, she encourages listeners to be themselves and follow their dreams. "I want to be a voice of encouragement for people who feel like they're not good enough, not pretty enough, or don't fit in," says Dannie Marie.

Dannie Marie's radio promo tour will be a family affair, with her 15-year-old brother on acoustic guitar and her momager driving the family minivan. The DIY team just returned from the Colorado River Fair in Blythe, CA, where Dannie Marie and her brother won the local level of the (Texaco) Country Showdown for their performance of another original song, 'Countin' Down Summertime.' They will advance to the state competition later this year.

More information, along with a behind-the-scenes video of 'Anything I Wanna Be,' can be found at www.DannieMarie.com.

Prior to returning to San Diego last fall, Dannie Marie spent two years living in LA, where she was cast in commercials, TV shows, movies, and music videos (including 'Loud' by R5 on Disney channel). Many people recognize her as the blonde backup singer in the official music video for 'Another Man' by Itch - a song that went platinum in Australia. Dannie Marie is also featured on the Rhett and Link Youtube comedy channel in the 'Invisible Dog Prank' video (with nearly 1.3 million views).
