New York, NY (Top40 Charts) When NYC radio personality Felicia Loud's stint at Irie Jam radio, 93.5 FM came to an end a few months ago, her many fans were sorely disappointed as her sweet, vivacious personality and lively, effervescent style was missed.
Now Loud is back on the airwaves as host of the 'Reggae Soul Experience' on CaribMixx Radio, 93.5 FM, WVIP and truth be told, she sounds much better than ever. The programme airs every Sunday from 1 - 2 pm - just when most people are ready to kick back, relax and be lulled with some cool, soothing music. The program offers musical variety, with the playlist including vintage Studio One, neosoul, gospel, reggae, jazz and even a little R&B songs featuring artistes like Slim Smith,
Dennis Brown, Betty Wright, Usher, Ledisi, Beres,
Taurus Riley, Jackie Mittoo and Dean Fraser.
"It's been a while and I am happy to be back on the airwaves again. It's all about having fun and ensuring listeners enjoy the experience.
Trust me when I say it's not a programme to be missed as each week I will have a special musical treat for listeners," she said.
Loud, who attended the New York Film Academy studied acting and has graced the pages of Essence, YM and Girl magazines. She has appeared on the Dave Chapell Show, Royal Palm Estate, Joint Tenant and Claro Cash Cab. She made her foray into radio on the award winning Nationwide News Network in
Jamaica before migrating to the US where she joined Irie Jam radio.
