(Top 40 Charts/ Rob Foenander PR) - Two Australian stars - both born in Sri Lanka, Rob Foenander and Keith Potger have released a Country & Western single, 'Further Down The Road,' in Australia. The single is doing well 'down under.' Keith Potger is a huge international star of the 1960s he was a member of the Australian folk group the 'Seekers' who had a string of hits all over the world. The Seekers had nine hits in Britain and Australia in the 1960s: "I'll Never Find Another You", "A World of Our Own", "The Carnival Is Over, "Someday One Day", "Walk With Me", "Morningtown Ride", "Georgy Girl" (the title song of the film of the same name), "When Will The Good Apples Fall" and "Emerald City". They are also known for 'Turn, Turn, Turn.' Keith Potger founded 'The New Seekers,' the British group released many hits in the 1970s. The harmonies on 'Further Down The Road' have added to the country feel of this song produced by Michael Read. Christopher Pain's harmonica adds to the melody of the song. This is a country hit in the making and it is taking Australia by storm. Further Down the Road' has been entered in the 2008 Tamworth Country Music Awards Vocal Collaboration & APRA song of the year section.
