Virginia Beach, VA (Top40 Charts/ TRASTAR ENTERTAINMENT) - TRA-STAR ENTERTAINMENT announced the release of the new Heartland Single, "Southern Frame Of Mind." In an unprecedented move by the label, they put out a "pre-broadcast" release. The company "test marketed" the song by putting it out as an internet release and have secured a solid number 9 debut in the popular internet chart, Sound Click. Southern Frame Of Mind was co-written by Heartland producer, Mark Carman and Rick Festa. The song features some excellent guitar work by extreme guitarist Barry Mc Lawhorn, drums that sound like thunder and vocals that just will not let you up. Heartland members, Barry Templeton, Mark Carman, Ron Kohlman, and Barry Mc Lawhorn, deliver up some incredible vocals on this truly spectacular song.

"Southern Frame of Mind" first appeared on Heartland's original album all the way back in 1985 and has been digitally re-mastered for sound quality and formatting in order to facilitate electronic distribution of the music. The new album will be comprised of twelve songs including songs from Heartland's previous recordings. It will also include their signature song and first charted single, "New River." New River (also written by Mark Carman in 1986) was released on the TRA-STAR RECORDS label in 1988 and received a Billboard Magazine "Recommended Pick," Cash Box "Spotlight" and significant chart activity in all the major trade publications.

According to TRA-STAR ENTERTAINMENT president and CEO, Frank Scherman, "The early Heartland projects were monumental achievements for us as an independent company, particularly in the 1980's. For an artist on an independent label to receive that sort of response from the mainstream music industry, international trade publications, and the radio program directors as did Heartland, was relatively unheard of at the time. Heartland's success early on could only be attributed to the forward thinking way in which we approached the music in the recording studio as well as in our live performances. The music was always our number one priority."

The Heartland "Original Article" album, as it has been un-officially dubbed, is schedule to be released in March of 2007; however, digital downloads will be available very soon thru most major music online retailers such as iTunes, Napster, E-music, etc.
