Hill Country Live Hosts Chip Taylor, Mark Seliger's Rusty Truck, Sunny Ledfurd, Dash Rip Rock And More This August
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Hill Country Live - NY's go-to destination for Americana, alt-country, and roots music - brings "undeniably the South's greatest rock band" (SPIN), the iconic songwriter Chip Taylor, the man who mixes Snoop Dogg with David Allan Coe and many more to their 26th Street roadhouse this August. Plus, on August 5th they host a special album release party - show and interview - with photographer Mark Seliger's band Rusty Truck, hosted by SiriusXM's Meredith Ochs.

August 1 - Chip Taylor - The New York Times said it best: "If you only know him as the as the guy who wrote "Wild Thing" and "Angel of the Morning" you don't know him! Chip Taylor is making some of the most distinctive acoustic music around today." He celebrates his new album 'Block Out the Sirens of This Lonely World', which the New Yorker compared to John Prine and Kris Kristofferson.

August 5 - Rusty Truck [Album Release] - For this special album release party, SiriusXM's Meredith Ochs will interview Rusty Truck before a set that puts "yearning, melancholy vocals over wandering slide guitars, reaching deep into country and western traditions" (Rolling Stone). Founded by world-renowned photographer Mark Seliger, Rusty Truck debuts songs from their new album 'Kicker Town' for the first time at Hill Country Live.

August 16 - The Red Dirt Rangers - This summer, Oklahoma's favorite sons the Red Dirt Rangers celebrate their 25th anniversary. Their brand new album 'Lone Chimney' features songs penned with the late Bob Childers just before he passed, and the Daily Oklahoman called it one of the best of their career.

August 17 - Sunny Ledfurd - Sunny Ledfurd has built a loyal following through constant touring with live shows that mix rock, rap, honky-tonk, reggae, and more. Born in Chattanooga TN and growing up in Gaston County NC, Sunny Ledfurd taught himself guitar at age 15. Inspired by Guns n Roses, Snoop Dogg & David Allan Coe among many, Sunny's songs continually mix genres and push the envelope. With songs like "Pontoon Boat," "Adderall," and "Myrtle Beach," Sunny takes you through life in the south as he sees it and lives it.

August 23 - Dash Rip Rock - SPIN calls Dash Rip Rock "undeniably the South's greatest rock band." The New York Times calls them "skillful musicians with a penchant for getting reliably wild." In 2012, Dash Rip Rock was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and the founders of the "country-punk" genre bring their notoriously raucous live show back to NYC.
