New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Holmeswood releases "Fences (Meta-Disco-Tech Mix)"; an Electronic Industrial
Disco remix of his song "Fences" written and recorded for his successful 2015 eponymous album "Holmeswood". Originally, "Fences" featured live heavy metal guitars and drums. The "Fences (Meta-Disco-Tech Mix)" is a hybrid of
Heavy Metal and
Disco featuring all new vocals, experimenting with heavy metal synth guitars and drums taking a more disco centric direction while still respecting its original hard-core metal vibe. As with the original, the remix speaks in cinematic metaphors rising above societal barriers of stereotypes, labels, and typecasting.
The original recording of "Fences" was co-written and recorded with NYC based British music producer Jamie Muffett. "Fences (Meta-Disco-Tech Mix)" was re-arranged and produced by Argentinian pianist / composer / producer Dario Boente (Antonio Sanchez, Ronny Jordan, Fernando Otero, Joshua Thompson,
Pablo Aslan, Mark Whitfield and others); and co-produced with Eric Jayk (Sandra Bernhard's Rock Band and her off-Broadway Show, "Everything Bad, & Beautiful", Wildstreet, Astra The 22s, and others).
Christopher Wood Holmes (a.k.a. 'Holmeswood',) is an American pop-rock singer/songwriter, actor, artist, director and producer of film and music videos. In 2008, he made his live stage debut as the vocal performer "Holmeswood" at the New York International Guitar Festival's "Bob Dylan Song Contest." When Holmeswood took the stage at the legendary Bitter End on Bleecker Street in NYC he brought the house down performing a pop version of Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone". From there he was selected as one of the finalists to perform at the Arts World Financial Center-Winter Garden.
Since the release of his debut album, Holmeswood has been in the studio working on remixes of the entire album being released as individual remix singles. The remixes along with corresponding artwork are presented in the original order clearly relaying the artist's personal journey and exploration in cinematic storytelling fashion.
