LONDON, UK (Imperial Nights) - Imperial Nights will be hosting the Diskoteka Avariya concert in London on 17 March.

The concert, to be held at the prestigious Elysium Club, will feature the Russian band Diskoteka Avariya, DJ Smash from Project Osen', Moscow, and DJ Katrin Vesna from Club Zeppelin, Moscow.

Diskoteka Avariya has performed for over 15 years, releasing chart toppers that have now become anthems for a lot of Russian youths. They have released four albums and four singles and have won the Best Russian Act Award on MTV's Europe Music Awards. This is their second visit to London this year, and the concert promises to be a sell-out.

The night will also feature the release of a new single from DJ Smash. The track, created especially for Imperial Nights, will symbolically mark the beginning of Imperial's journey to becoming an international brand.

Imperial Nights is most known for hosting elite Russian parties in various venues around London. The company has now decided to expand into other spheres of entertainment ranging from hosting dinner parties to showing the latest Russian blockbusters in cinemas.

The idea behind the decision to expand is simple; bearing in mind the growing number of Russians residing in London, more recreational venues should be made available that would capture the Russian spirit and make guests feel more at home.

It is easy to see that for expatriates, the idea of "home" has changed over the years. Migrants nowadays tend to spend more time finding out about the country in which they are currently living in and neglecting their country of origin. Although it is undeniable that assimilation is important when living abroad, it is important to preserve a sense of national identity.

With so many Russians living out of the Russian Federation, there is a great danger that these migrants will eventually lose their culture and their heritage. Imperial wants to target this problem by introducing various Russian entertainment venues. They hope that through their events, Russian expatriates in London will have a chance to be more in touch with their roots. Their slogan: Whoever you are, wherever you are, NE ZABYVAI (Russian: Don't Forget).
