Touted as "one of the best guitar players in the world, and with a voice on par with some of the greatest rock/soul singers , Richie Kotzen has had an incredible journey in the world of music. Among his many accomplishments, in 2006 as a solo artist, Kotzen was the opening act for the legendary Rolling Stones' A Bigger Bang Tour in Japan.

In addition to writing and being featured on No 1 charting albums and tracks, Kotzen has amassed a 25 plus album discography - and he is just getting warmed up! Kotzen's new project, Wilson Hawk, a collaboration with renowned producer Richie Zito, combines Richie's Kotzen's Soulful vocals and mastery of the guitar with Richie Zito's considerable production skills. Influenced by American Soul Legends like Otis Redding, Al Green, Sam and Dave and Curtis Mayfield, Wilson Hawk Reinterprets American Classic Soul and R&B in an era where this genre of music seems to have been forgotten.

Richie Kotzen says, "This is a recording and I have always wanted to make. Growing up just outside Philadelphia, I was exposed to a lot of real Soul Music. Bands including the Spinners, the O'Jays and even early Hall and Oats influenced my writing during my developmental years as an artist.Producer Richie Zito adds, "At 15,I was signed to Atlantic Records, and it was there I discovered, the Atlantic/Stax/Volt Artists, like Sam and Dave, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin."

It's Kotzen and Zito's shared passion for Soul Music that makes Wilson Hawk, the unique project that it is.

Kotzen is one of the few artists to be honored by Fender Guitar with not one, but two signature models. The Kotzen Telecaster has repeatedly been the No 1 selling signature model guitar for Fender Japan. In 2005 Cornford Amplification honored Kotzen with his own signature series guitar amp, the RK100, which was voted AMP of The Year in the UK. Kotzen just recently designed and programmed his own signature model guitar effect pedal for Zoom/Samson.
