New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Júníus Meyvant is set to release 'Across The Borders' on January 25, signing to Glassnote Records for the release in North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Record Records, who signed Júníus ahead of his 2016 debut LP, will be releasing the album on the same day throughout the rest of the world. The new album follows high-profile 'Best Single' and 'Newcomer of The Year' wins at his home country's Icelandic Music Awards, as well as mounting critical attention in the United States. To kick off the festivities around 'Across The Borders,' Júníus Meyvant will play a much-anticipated homecoming set at Iceland Airwaves in Reykjavík this week. This will mark the electrifying live performer's first appearance at the festival since 2015, an undisputed breakthrough that "drew the chill from the bones of a roomful of new admirers" (NPR Music) through "reeling magic that's imaginatively done" (Consequence of Sound).

"Let It Pass is a song that came to me in a dream," he says. "My wife woke me up because I was beatboxing in my sleep. In the dream my good friend, Andri, who helped me a lot in the making of my albums, was running around this chair with his forehead stuck to the chairs back screaming "RECORD THIS! IT'S A HIT!" In the background was this song and the chorus was going: Let It Pass, Let It Pass."

"When we first heard Júníus Meyvant's music, the beauty of his orchestration transported me to a fjord in Iceland," says Glassnote founder Daniel Glass. "It was clear he has the unique skill for creating sophisticated and cinematic arrangements as well as hit records. We are thrilled to welcome Júníus to the Glassnote family."

'Across The Borders' was self-produced and completely written by Júníus Meyvant, with engineering and mixing done by Guðmundur Kristinn Jónsson (Ásgeir, Erlend Oye, Hjálmar) at the renowned Hljóðriti Studio on the outskirts of Reykjavík. The richly orchestrated new record embraces a wide palette of sounds and is awash with soulful, charming melodies. Throughout the eleven tracks, the natural warmth of his unmistakeable vocals are matched and heightened by a full string section and brass ensemble, creating a hearty wall of blissful sound.
