New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With its inaugural pop-up event, KIND MUSIC FESTIVAL brought over 5,000 fans of music, cannabis and overall positivity this past Saturday, February 23 to Desert Hot Springs, CA at the future site of Tyson Ranch Resort-a 420-acre entertainment complex, luxury glamping resort and cannabis research & design facility created and owned by Mike Tyson.
"I could not have been happier to see the range in demographics all enjoying the festival peacefully," adds Tyson Ranch President and co-founder Mike Tyson. "This is exactly what the Kind Festival is all about; focusing on what brings us together rather than what divides us."
Tyson Ranch CEO and co-founder Rob Hickman remarked, "The success of Kind Festival was Tyson Ranch's way of introducing our company to the Desert Hot/Palm Springs community, which will soon be home to a resort and cannabis educational facility that will bring lots of jobs and commerce to the area. We look forward to engaging local businesses as Tyson Ranch expands in the desert."
Featuring strong performances by MIGUEL, FERG, STARCRAWLER, REESE LAFLARE, YONEE, D.I.E., INASX and ALL MY FRIENDS HATE ME, along with an empowering inspirational speech on global consciousness from motivational speaker/author IDIL AHMED, the event was the first-ever all ages music festival that embraced California's updated cannabis regulations while also offering alcoholic consumption to those 21+.
While there were no sales of cannabis products at the festival, in accordance with the 2019 laws, several cannabis cultivation, education and media vendors were on-site to raise awareness including Sensii, CBD Hydrate and Two
Roots Brewing Co. Attendees were able to relax in the "Chillville" area which included blow-up chairs and bean bags or get a birds-eye view of festival's stunning background sights including the San Jacinto mountains on a Ferris Wheel ride. There was also hourly "medicated meditation," yoga and sound bath events and a breakdancing crew performing on the festival grounds.
A portion of all proceeds from KIND MUSIC FESTIVAL were donated to the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, STANDING UNITED, which aids those struggling with drug addiction and homelessness, who were on-site for the event and raffled off a special hang out session with Mike Tyson.
