"Kristina Bazan has devoted herself to forging connections. Someone who thrives on meeting others, she's conjured this community around her interests and passions which almost has an independent life of its own. Steeped in fashion but interested in literate, music, and performance, her songwriting taps into each of these worlds and more." - CLASH
Says BAZAN about the song, "It's one of my favorite songs from the EP. I wrote it thinking about a waltz with a personification of love, of fear and in the middle of all this the Devil jumping around and laughing at all this absurdity. It's funny to me how love is portrayed as such an angelic and beautiful thing when often we don't know how to properly love, how to love honestly and purely. Love creates so much pain and blinds us at times while fear might appear instead as a protector, guarding us from making terrible mistakes. I wanted to play around with these stereotypes, like a fable story. Eventually however love does win, it always does. But I found it interesting to question the nature and especially personify these two abstract concepts."
KRISTINA BAZAN's passion for singing has always been a dominant force in her life. A lyricist and composer, her unique style blends pop, sensuality and cinematography. Her current EP highlights the dualities of reality vs. illusion, past vs. future and technology vs. analog.
