Los Angeles, LA (Top40 Charts/ Margo Rey Official Website) - Following her critically acclaimed 2008 album My Heart's Desire, singer/songwriter Margo Rey has released a remix of the single 'Habit' on the record label Organica
Music Group (OMG). The success of the release has resulted in various remixes by several notable dance music producers including
Tracy Young (i.e. Madonna), DJ Mike Cruz, Mike Bordes, Klubjumpers, and Rod Carrillo. 'Habit' earned the rare distinction of charting at No 4 on the Perfect Beat Dance Charts before its official release date on May 22nd. Perfect Beat Magazine states, 'There is a lot of buzz about this track and it will certainly gain the respect on any dance floor.'
Margo Rey will debut another single, a cover of 'You Belong to Me' before the release of her second full length album effort titled Saturn Returns. Rooted in Jazz and Pop, the album will be available this summer through OMG which features a title track co-written by Margo Rey and John Oates (Hall and Oates). Oates is one of the most accomplished songwriters in the world with over 10 No 1 songs to his credit.
Margo Rey will be returning to Dallas, TX for two showcase concerts on May 27th & 28th appearing at the Dallas Museum of Art's Ross Avenue Plaza on May 27th and at the Scat Jazz Lounge on the May 28th. Margo Rey will also play a concert in Atlanta, GA on the 29th at Sperata Dinner Lounge.
About MARGO REY:
Margo Rey was born in Acapulco, Mexico and raised in the local Dallas music scene since the age of 11, where she quickly became one of the most popular commercial vocalists for Juniper Music (IMAX, Tabasco, McDonald's). Her first Spanish language album Acaba scored three Top 5 hits and a No 1 music video in the Latin market. Margo Rey signed with Polygram for a short time and then moved to New York City where she enjoyed success on Broadway in shows such as: Saturday Night Fever, Selena Forever, Latin Heat, Zorro, Cy Coleman's Like Jazz and Frank Loesser's Se�or Discretion Himself. Margo Rey also lent her voice in the 2008 Film Beverly Hills Chihuahua.
Margo Rey has since moved to L.A. to work on her recording and songwriting. She has acted in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions and TV commercials, and has performed at the Edison and The Hollywood Bowl. She enjoys a strong following overseas and will be touring regularly to Mexico, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Japan.
