NEW YORK (Arista/J Records) - Fueled by a hot new single and video, "She Will Be Loved," Maroon 5's debut album, Songs About Jane, exploded back into the Top Ten this week, more than two years since the album's release on Octone/J Records. The re-entry into the Top 10 after 111 weeks in stores is a rare occurrence indeed, making Maroon 5 the breakthrough artist development story of the year.

Maroon 5's third single, "She Will Be Loved," is on fire at radio, breaking into the Top Ten this week on every format where the song is being played. The video, which features actress Kelly Preston, has just moved into heavy rotation at MTV and VH1 and is in the daily countdown on each show. Maroon 5 will make an appearance on TRL on August 19th and will tape an "Inside Track" performance with Joss Stone, Jamie Cullum and Keane for VH1 at Roseland in New York City on August 16th.

The band has been nominated for two MTV Video Music Awards, Best Group Video and Best New Artist, for their video "This Love." The clip is also a heavy favorite for the Viewer's Choice Award, which is voted on by fans. "This Love" was a Number One track at Top 40 radio in the United States and was Number One in more than 10 countries around the world.

And while one would think the band would be kicking back, enjoying some of the fruits of their hard labor, they continue to be road warriors, logging in date after date on their current tour with John Mayer, spending days off lending their support to organizations like Rock The Vote and the John Kerry Campaign and recording new songs for outside projects (Spiderman II Soundtrack, Sly Stone Tribute Album).

After the culmination of their current tour, the band heads overseas to the UK, Europe and Japan and then it's back to the states, where a major headlining tour is in the planning stages for early 2005.
