NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - No surprises here. The usual suspects (a.k.a. this year's Golden Globe nominees and/or winners) have landed Oscar nominations, which were announced Tuesday (Feb. 12) morning.

The nominees for Best Original Song are Paul McCartney's "Vanilla Sky"                            (Vanilla Sky), Sting's "Until?" (Kate & Leopold), Enya's "May It Be" (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring), Randy Newman's "If I Didn't Have You" (Monsters, Inc.), and Diane Warren's "There You'll Be" (performed by Faith Hill, from Pearl Harbor). All of these songs were nominated for Golden Globes as well, except for Newman's "If I Didn't Have You."

Up for Best Original Score this round are John Williams (A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone), James Horner (A Beautiful Mind), Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring), and Randy Newman (Monsters, Inc.). This year's Golden Globe score award went to Craig Armstrong for Moulin Rouge.

The 74th Annual Academy Awards will be held March 24 in Los Angeles and will air on ABC. For the complete list of nominations, see www.top40-charts.com.
