NEW YORK (VH1/ www.vh1savethemsuic.com) - Two time Grammy Award-winning artist Melissa Etheridge is wrapping up her current U.S. and Canadian "Lucky" tour by generously supporting the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.
A long-time supporter of The Foundation, she is donating two front row tickets for each of her 18 concert stops. Throughout September and October, fans can bid for a pair of tickets by visiting VH1 Save The Music's website. Proceeds raised will be donated to VH1 Save The Music to help restore music education programs throughout public schools across the country. To place your bid and get more information on dates and cities please visit https://www.vh1savethemsuic.com
"I am so happy to use the last leg of my tour to help bring the benefits of music education to more children," said Melissa Etheridge. "Each year the VH1 Save The Music Foundation continues to inspire children and help them grow in all aspects of life. I am so pleased to be a part of their cause."

Throughout VH1 Save the Music's inception Melissa Etheridge has continued to support The Foundation and the restoration of music education programs. In fact, her U.S. tour in 1999 raised $110,000 for VH1 Save The Music. This past April, Melissa paid a visit to her hometown of Leavenworth, KS to help the VH1 Save The Music Foundation restore music education programs in two Leavenworth public schools. Etheridge spoke with 4th and 5th grade music students of the Earl M. Lawson elementary school about the importance of music education. While there Melissa also acoustically performed "Come to My Window."
Both Earl M. Lawson and the Anthony School received grants of $25,000 worth of new musical instruments - a combined gift from VH1 Save The Music and the Leavenworth Public Schools Education Foundation.

Since VH1 Save The Music was created in 1997, more than $25 million worth of musical instruments has been donated to 1,000 public schools in 80 cities, improving the lives of more than 500,000 children. VH1 Save The Music's many honors include the Governors' Award (a special Emmy Award), the George Foster Peabody Award for broadcast and cable excellence, and many Beacon Awards.

VH1 connects viewers to the music, artists and pop culture that matter to them most with series, specials, live events, exclusive online content and public affairs initiatives.
