Music Midtown, one of the nation's premier music festivals, is making some dramatic additions this year as the internationally recognized three-day festival enters its 12th season. This year's
Music Midtown will take place on new dates June 10-12, but at the same location and will feature more than 100 musical acts.
Among some of the headlining acts scheduled to appear at Music Midtown:
- The White Stripes
- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
- Kid Rock
- The Pixies
Additional artists already confirmed include: The Killers, Joan Jett, Keane, Coheed and Cambria, The Features, Bloc Party, MoFro, Louis XIV
To capitalize on the growing popularity of country music, Music Midtown will feature the Kicks 101.5 Country Stage this year. Among the blockbuster acts scheduled to appear:
- Friday - Keith Urban, Loretta Lynn, Cross Canadian Ragweed
- Saturday will feature Atlanta's own, Alan Jackson
- Sunday - Montgomery Gentry, Joe Dee Messina and more
Additional line up announcements will be made Monday, March 14 and will be released periodically leading up to the festival.

"In addition to enjoying great music, festival goers will have the opportunity to interact with the best local artists, enjoy great food from 45+ vendors and experience an art installation. All this and more additions will set a new threshold for festivals throughout the world."
Visitors to this year's Music Midtown will notice a brand new look and feel for the festival. The new brand identity was developed by Atlanta-based Creaxion(R), one of the city's leading marketing firms. Creaxion was recently selected as the Agency of Record for Music Midtown and handles advertising, public relations and onsite VIP support for the festival.
Atlanta's hip hop pioneer and recently named President of Virgin Records, Jermaine Dupri will be performing on the urban stage and producing the weekend's artist line up. Dupri's support of Music Midtown is a true testament to his dedication in recognizing Atlanta as the entertainment capital in the music world.
In addition to the exciting line up already confirmed Music Midtown is working with nationally recognized artist, Todd Murphy on an experiential art installation. Murphy will work with students from GSU, Georgia Tech, UGA and S.C.A.D. in creating unique designs and structures to add to the cultural element on site.
