New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Tech-enabled production music startup Soundstripe is venturing further into music distribution, teaming with EDM artist My
Buddy Mike and pop singer-songwriter
Jessie Villa to release the new single "Never Let You Go," available today on all digital platforms [https://smarturl.it/NeverLetYouGoPreSave].
My
Buddy Mike (née Mike Geiger) and
Jessie Villa are members of Soundstripe's in-house music team, where they help to create original music for the service's catalog, which is available for sync usage by video producers, podcasters, and other content creators via a unique subscription model. In 2018, My
Buddy Mike teamed with Villa to write and record the hit track "
Mad Love." It was the first song distributed by Soundstripe beyond its own service. "
Mad Love" went on to become My
Buddy Mike's most popular single to date, garnering nearly 6 million streams on Spotify alone. He reteamed with Villa to write and record "Never Let You Go," an upbeat EDM-pop anthem that is the first song to feature vocals from both My
Buddy Mike and Villa, who duet on the track.
"Mike and
Jessie are two of the most talented musicians I've had the privilege of working with, and whenever they come together, the result is pure magic," said Micah Sannan, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Soundstripe. "It is artists like them who have inspired us to continue exploring an expansion beyond production music into music distribution. Songs like this deserve to be heard around the world, and we are excited to be a part of that."
"'Mad Love' was our first-ever collaboration, and it came together so seamlessly. Since then, we've written a number of songs as a duo, but 'Never Let You Go' was the first one we truly felt could follow what we had done previously," said My
Buddy Mike and
Jessie Villa. "We're excited for the world to hear 'Never Let You Go,' our first ever My
Buddy Mike and
Jessie Villa duet."
In addition to working with Villa, My
Buddy Mike has released collaborations with artists such as Neon Hitch (Gym Class Heroes, Tyga) and Jason Parris. Based in Nashville, his catchy EDM-centric tracks have been praised by publications such as EDM Sauce, Just Jared Jr., and Gas Mask Magazine.
Also based in Nashville,
Jessie Villa is a pop singer-songwriter and artist who aims to redefine storytelling within pop music. In addition to her work with My
Buddy Mike, she has released collaborative singles with Luna Wave, Beauz, and Alice Kristiansen. Her latest album, Waking Up, was released in 2019.

About Soundstripe
Soundstripe is one of the industry's fastest growing providers of unlimited, royalty-free music for video, podcasts, and other media. It is driven by a unique subscription model that lets content creators pay a fee for usage of the music in Soundstripe's catalog. That music is created by a team of composers, mix engineers, songwriters, producers, and other music industry professionals employed by the company to ensure that all tracks are of the highest quality. Licenses cover all uses and remain in effect should a creator choose to cancel their membership or let it expire. This approach has led to over 3 million licenses being issued for tens of thousands of customers in over 130 countries since Soundstripe's inception in 2016. The company is based in Nashville and was named #1 Top Workplace in Tennessee for Small Companies by The Tennessean, which also honored co-founders
Travis Terrell, Micah Sannan, and Trevor Hinesley with a best in leadership award. Soundstripe also won the Game-Changing Startup award in the Entertainment, Sports, and Media category at The Nashville Entrepreneur Center's 2019 NEXT Awards, and was named one of the city's Top 10 startup cultures by Powderkeg.
