Nettwerk Music Group Signs Radical Face
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Nettwerk Music Group) Nettwerk Music Group is pleased to announce the signing of Ben Cooper, aka Radical Face, to its worldwide label roster.

With the self-released LP The Family Tree: The Roots, Ben set out to do something non-traditional and progressively conceptual. In 2011, The Roots was the first installment of a three-part, stand-alone album series that chronicles a fictitious, and sometimes otherworldy, 19th century family.

Radical Face will release the second installment to the series, The Family Tree: The Branches on October 22 via Nettwerk Records. Following the first album, certain instrumentations and melodies that represent a "family member" will reappear in the second album as a continuation of a story or descendent. The Branches will also progress in production using instruments that would have been more readily available in the era of the story set from 1860-1910.

"I like storytelling, and wanted that to be the focus. I looked up genealogy charts and studied some American history for a frame of reference, then pulled from personal experiences and put it all together," says Ben. Such concepts and stories come naturally to Ben, whom before turning to music wrote fiction. He switched to music after a hard drive crash where he lost his two nearly completed novels.

This fall, Radical Face returns to the road after a two-year hiatus to perform music from the new album. The tour begins on October 9 in Washington, DC at Sixth Street Synagogue, before finishing in Los Angeles, CA for an already sold out show at The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. All tour dates are below.

In the past, The Roots garnered impressive chart debuts, entering at #20 on the Billboard New Artist Chart, #3 on iTunes Singer-Songwriter Chart and #2 on the Amazon Folk Chart. Meanwhile, "Welcome Home" from Radical Face's debut album Ghost, has garnered over 16.5 million YouTube views, mostly in part to a worldwide Nikon commercial (ex North America). Further television support has come from shows like Private Practice, Skins, Eddie Izzard, Weeds, as well as his late night national TV debut on Last Call With Carson Daly.

Radical Face is the latest addition to Nettwerk's expanding label roster, which includes artists like Family Of The Year, Passenger, BOY, Boy & Bear, Angus & Julia Stone, William Fitzsimmons, as well as catalogue artists like Old Crow Medicine Show, The Submarines and fun.

In the coming weeks, stay tuned for information regarding Radical Face.
