ORLANDO, FL. (Promo Only/ www.promoonly.com) - Promo Only, the music industry's most secure option for digital music delivery, and tech partner Destiny Media Technologies, announced today that Jive Records/Zomba Label Group has delivered, via the Promo Only MPE System, the newest single from The
Backstreet Boys forthcoming album "
Never Gone" slated for release in June.
Promo Only MPE sent the track "
Incomplete" through the
Internet up to four days before the arrival of the physical CD to radio. Promo Only also announced that it has over 1800 users registered to its proprietary digital delivery system.
"We are thrilled that Jive Records has chosen to take advantage of the enormous benefits of Promo Only MPE to deliver the new Backstreet Boys track," said Dean Ernst, Director of the Promo Only MPE project. "Jive Records, like many other labels that have employed our system, is reaping not only great economic savings, but also the secure and immediate delivery of their content. We look forward to working with additional labels in the near future."
"It was imperative for Jive Records to find a partner that could get this much anticipated single to radio in a safe, cost-efficient and timely manner," said John Strazza, VP Top 40 Radio Promotion, Jive Records/Zomba Label Group. "We chose Promo Only MPE over others because of their outstanding reputation as the premier system for the digital delivery of broadcast-quality tracks to radio.
They have greatly exceeded our expectations."
Promo Only MPE is currently in use by such radio groups as Cumulus, Infinity, Cox, Citadel, Radio One, Emmis, Entercom, XM, Sirius, Journal, ABC, DMX, Disney, Univision, Westwood One, Regent, Next Media and a number of other media groups.
RCA Music Group has delivered, via the Promo Only MPE System, 16 tracks to date for artists such as the Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, Kelly Clarkson and Velvet Revolver. Universal Music Group (UMG) uses the Promo Only MPE System exclusively to electronically deliver both preview and virtual CD-quality audio files to every US major market radio station. Promo Only MPE has distributed over 300 tracks for UMG by artists such as Will Smith, U2, Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Shania Twain and 50 Cent among many others.
Mediabase, a division of Premiere Radio Networks, has entered into an exclusive partnership to implement the Promo Only MPE System into their service. Clear Channel has been using the Promo Only MPE System since September of 2004 and has authorized its use in all of their US stations.
Promo Only MPE is a highly sophisticated security system, which locks down the distributed content and allows labels to track who is accessing their property. Each song is uniquely encrypted so that only those with the Promo Only MPE software can access it. In addition, an ID code specific to each individual user is applied when a song is requested; meaning that only registered users can access the song and, once installed, the ID cannot be moved to any other computer.
Promo Only MPE is the music industry's most secure option for digital music delivery. Radio stations can request an account for the Promo Only MPE service by filling out the online form at https://promoonlympe.com/registration.html. Promo Only MPE is a product of Destiny Media Technologies and is exclusively marketed and distributed by Promo Only.
