Los Angeles, CA. (Top40 Charts/ American Gramaphone) - Mannheim Steamroller, the biggest selling Christmas music artist in history with 25 million Christmas records sold, has released a new holiday album, Mannheim Steamroller: Christmas Song.

Featuring guest vocalists Olivia Newton-John and Johnny Mathis, Mannheim Steamroller: Christmas Song, was released on October 9 and includes 12 holiday classics and new original compositions. The album's title track was chosen by Mannheim Steamroller fans, who were asked by composer and creator, Chip Davis, to vote for their favorite holiday song on the group's website. The voting took place in February and over one hundred thousand votes were received, with "The Christmas Song" earning the top spot. To thank his fans for their help and encouragement, Chip enlisted music legend Johnny Mathis to provide the vocals to the stunning track.

Mannheim Steamroller: Christmas Song is the first new Mannheim Steamroller Christmas studio album since the multi-platinum Christmas Extraordinaire in 2001. The original compositions and arrangements are each inspired by Chip's family, making this the most personal album of his career. The song "Catching Snowflakes" was inspired by watching his son experiencing a snow storm; "Christmas Lullaby" featuring Olivia Newton-John was written for his daughter Kelly, "Feliz Navidad" was arranged for his daughter Elyse, and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" was arranged for his wife.

Other holiday classics on the record include "Let It Snow," "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town," "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear," and "Frosty The Snowman."

This holiday season, Mannheim Steamroller will embark on its annual Christmas tour, this year starting on November 20 in Boise, Idaho. The tour will perform in 12 cities.

Also released this holiday season is a gift-book published by Thomas Nelson entitled, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas: The Season For Joy (October 9/ISBN-13: 978-1-4041-0511-9/List price $14.00). The elegantly decorated hardcover book features Chip's reflections on five simple joys of the season: family, friendship, giving, music and the real meaning of the holiday. The book includes a bonus CD with two Mannheim Steamroller Christmas songs.

Mannheim Steamroller is the No 1-selling Christmas artist of all time and one of the top fifty best-selling artists of the last two decades, outselling prominent artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Sting, REM, Michael Jackson and Bon Jovi. Composer and creator Chip Davis started Mannheim Steamroller more than 30 years ago with his Grammy Award-winning Fresh Aire series. With more than 32 million albums sold, an annual Christmas tour that is consistently ranked as the best selling of any artist, a successful Mannheim Steamroller gourmet food line, and a new medical endeavor helping hospital patients recover quicker through audio technology (Ambience Medical),
Chip Davis is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the music industry.
