New Release Revenue Donated To Hurricane Harvey Survivors
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Today, Watchtower Entertainment, the management arm of rocker Clay Melton, announced that all sales profits collected for the balance of 2017 will be donated to those affected by the horrific tragedy caused by Hurricane Harvey. "We live here and our home was spared, we are extremely lucky, but a number of greater Houston residents were not", stated Clay Melton, "and so we have decided that chipping in is not only the right thing to do but it is something we feel strongly about doing." Clay and his team had just completed the final production duties of their brand new release "Burn The Ships" when Hurricane Harvey took its toll on Texas. The expense of such an undertaking, the production of a high quality release, was upper most in the minds of the entire Clay Melton team until the natural disaster hit close to home. Then everyone agreed that this is how musicians can help and so we will.

Clay Melton is rising up in the ranks after being noticed as a child prodigy in his formative years after being labeled by The Dallas International Guitar Festival as one the top 10 guitar players in Texas under 20 at the ripe old age of 16. However, while his licks were hot people began to realize that his songwriting abilities could be even hotter. Early on Clay caught the attention of Dan Workman of the famed SugarHill Studios and the two of them began to imagine how something really cool might come out of a melding of the minds. This led to an initial EP that was recorded in Austin and now this second time around it has led to a complete CD release entitled, "Burn The Ships" recorded at SugarHill in Houston. One of the highlights of this new release is that the collaborative effort reached beyond the Clay Melton Band themselves. In fact, the well-known and rising star Kam Franklin of The Sufferers joins Clay on a marvelous track on this new release.

Realizing the value of being around world class musicians and producers Clay became a member in good standing within the Grammy family of professionals, The Recording Academy. Meeting such professionals as Paul Wall, Saul Paul, and famed front man Al Staehely Clay's youthful desire to continue to deliver top quality material increased but not to a zenith, that moment in time has not arrived yet.
