LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ LaFamos PR) Gifted with golden voices that boldly outline the depths of every emotion, Seattle's power-pop band, The New Futures are gracing the masses with a sweet collection of vintage-inspired jams on their debut EP Radioactive. With suave style, enticing personalities, and fresh originality, The New Futures are oozing with talent and are bound to cause a stir in the music scene. Coming off the success of their debut single and music video, the band is prepared to top their success with the release of Radioactive, available now on iTunes.
Making up the new Radioactive EP are five intoxicating, 3-minute vacays that lyrically and musically stand strong on their own. Eclectic in variety, the EP consistently carries the staple free-flowing sound of The New Futures throughout each song. Dominated by rocking guitar chords, spine-jerking bass lines, soaring vocals and vivid lyrics, the EP covers topics of love, loss and everything in between. Defying genre lines, The New Futures create their own interpretation of "vintage meets modern" on this riveting compilation. With assistance from band mates, Sammy J. Riddle vocally supports all of the tracks as he does on the electrifying, roots-inspired lead single "Sunshine." Full of metaphoric teasers, under a body-rocking groove, "
Sunshine" cleverly projects a steaming, yet toxic romance. The second single "
Ocean" showcases a full-orchestrated hook featuring a jazzy sax solo and captivating melodic twists and turns. The band showcases their versatility on the toned-down and introspective song "Story," where Riddle chronicles the struggles of accomplishing one's goals. Producer Joe Reineke (Alien Crime Syndicate, Tommy Stinson) worked his magic on the all-purpose Radioactive at Orbit Audio in Seattle.
Front man singer-songwriter, Sammy J. Riddle envisioned the group with his long time confidant and multi-instrumentalist, Chip Reno (bass, backup vocals, and keys). The two gradually filled the musical voids with Brazilian native Gustavo Carmo (guitar, backup vocals) who also tours alongside legendary axman, Vinnie Moore (UFO and Alice Cooper). Offering powerful and propelling drum hits is Robert Ray Baker Jr. aka the "snare guy." The cohesive rock-pop fusion shines through every verse and chorus to create a recipe for longevity. The four-man act is heavily inspired by music of many genres and time periods. "Classic stuff, vintage techniques, and quality musicianship," says Sammy J. The band even has a philanthropic bone and serenaded the audiences of the 7th Annual IMAGINE Fashion Show at the Museum of Flight and the Foster 5K Fun Run in support of The Boys and Girls Club and Special Olympics Washington chapters. Not only do they make feel-good music, their positive spirits are radiated on to those around them.
Making big moves along their hectic and thrilling journey, The New Futures live up to every bit of hype they've created. With a new single and EP in tow, the band is ready to premier their work of art to the world and make their mark in the industry. Authentic charm paired with unmatched talent should take care of that on its own.
