Blaque Orchid's first single "Jim & Eileen" from her debut album "More Then Meets The Eye" exposes the methamphetamine epidemic sweeping Hollywood, and the nation.

America about the perils of using crystal meth, tackling this deadly issue that News Week recently called "America's New Drug Crisis."
"Jim & Eileen" tells the story of a young couple from Nebraska that sets off to California to live their Hollywood dreams. They are instantly swept into the glamorous Hollywood social scene and introduced to the lethal methamphetamine drug. Their California dreams turn into the nightmare that is addiction, a addiction that leads to a tragic deadly ending.
"Jim & Eileen is a very personal story to me," says the song writer and singer Blaque Orchid. "Its based on events I witnessed my first few years in Hollywood."
Blaque Orchid, a native of Chicago, was born into a music-oriented family- in fact, she credits her parents for her gift of music. Growing up in the ghetto of Chicago's Southside, Blaque Orchid is no stranger to the violence, misery, and economic devastation that is the result of what happens to people who become addicted to drugs, she has made it her duty to do what she can to warn others, young people especially to the dangers and the pitfalls of drug use.
To help bring "Jim & Eileen" to life, Blaque Orchid calibrated with Geo Santini a hot up-and-coming music video director from Alliance Group Entertainment to create a music video that was both visually stunning and captured the raw unfiltered view of the tragic story the song was about. The results of this creative marriage turned "Jim & Eileen" into an edge of your seat dramatic short movie, using the catchy country style lyrics set to a tight R&B beat as its soundtrack. The real twist in the music video was the use a beautiful young female to portray "Crystal Meth", the drug that seduces the naive young couple, Jim and Eileen. "Everything came full circle," says Blaque Orchid, "The house we use in the music video is the same house that I wrote the song about. I had no ideal we would be using that house until I arrived on set to film. Everyone got chills when I told them that events that happen at this house inspired what is now Jim & Eileen."
In a July 18th speech to district attorneys, Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez said that "in terms of damage to children and to our society, meth is now the most dangerous drug in America." According to federal estimates, more than 12 million Americans have tried methamphetamine and 1.5 million are regular users. Meth-making operations have been uncovered in all 50 states; Missouri tops the list, with more than 8,000 labs, equipment caches and toxic dumps seized between 2002 and 2004.
With the toxic meth epidemic spreading form major cities to rural Middle America, it almost validates the need for songs like Blaque Orchid's "Jim & Eileen", to warn young people of what has happen to others like themselves that have experimented with this deadly drug. Music has a way of reaching people that no parent or politician can.
"Jim & Eileen" is currently spinning on radio stations across the nation, Blaque Orchid's debut album "More Then Meets The Eye" will be released late winter.
