SYDNEY, Australia (SONY BMG Music Australia) - The sensational Sarah McLachlan will release her second album of remixes on October 9, and it'll blow you away! Ten tracks have been reworked by some of the best in the business, including the Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am, DJ Hyper, Tom Middleton and Thievery Corporation. Sarah McLachlan's alluring songs of mystery and surrender have always held a strong appeal for DJs, remixers and producers, and now the Canadian star has completed her second album of remixes - the fabulous 'Bloom'.

It's the follow-up to 2003's hugely successful 'Remixed Volume 1', and is a fascinating collection of previously unreleased remixed versions of 10 recordings, all but one of which - a collaboration with DMC of Run-DMC (remixed by will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas) - originally appeared on Sarah's earlier studio albums. The oldest song, 'Vox', dates back to Sarah's debut album, 'Touch' (1989), recorded when she was 19 years old, and has now been given the remix treated by the UK's renowned Tom Middleton.

Two more tracks originated on 1993's 'Fumbling Toward Ecstasy', Sarah's third album, and her second with long-time producer Pierre Marchand. 'Ice (Dusted Mix)' was remixed with additional production by Rollo (of Faithless fame) and Mark Bates (Dusted, who also supplies additional keyboards). The title tune, 'Fumbling Toward Ecstasy (Junior Boys Remix)', was remixed with additional production by the Ontario duo.

The majority of tracks though are taken from 'Afterglow'. Reggae masters Sly & Robbie lend their skills to 'Train Wreck', while classically trained electronic innovator Talvin Singh has added his touch on 'Answer'. Also appearing on 'Bloom' as remixers are Junkie XL, DJ Hyper, Thievery Corporation and Gabriel & Dresden.

Sarah McLachlan is an outstanding vocalist in her own right, but when her work is teamed with that of some of the world's finest electronic artists, the results are simply stunning!
'Bloom' is in stores October 9
