New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) - Last year, Gary Go spotted a heart-shaped balloon entangled in a tree outside his house and the first thing he did was take a photo with his iPhone, post his shot on Twitter, and begin compiling fan-submitted lyrics.

According to The Guardian, "The Heart Balloon" "is one of the first tracks to be composed on Twitter and any royalties will be shared equally with the Tweeters who collaborated with Go on the song."

But Go didn't stop there. Once he had the lyrics, he went on to compose it on his iPhone. In fact, Go has written several tracks for his first album using software downloaded to the phone. He has recreated guitars, drums, piano and horn sections, creating all the demos for his album using a virtual four-track recording studio installed on his phone.

In related news, Go performed with just his iPhone at Wembley Stadium (seats over 70K) earlier this month - these performances are believed to be the first time an iPod gig was played for such a large audience.

Decca Label Group will release Go's self-titled debut - described as "an album of impeccable modern, downbeat pop" (BBC MUSIC) - on September 15.
