London, UK. (Top40 Charts/ Virgin Records) - Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Mobile announce another eight great acts for the line-up. Mark Ronson, Captain, Mutya Buena, Jesse Malin, Seth Lakeman, Chungking and Lena Rez will join the 40+ already confirmed acts to play at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of 18 -19 August 2007.

These additional acts are joining an incredible line-up, which includes headliners The Killers, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol as well as James, Amy Winehouse, Damien Rice, Editors and The Coral.

Bob Angus, V Festival Director comments:
"Year after year the V Festival line-up just gets stronger and stronger. New acts like Mark Ronson, Seth Lakeman and Jesse Malin will join dozens of previously announced artists including The Killers, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol to make V the ultimate festival this summer! And, it's going to get even better as we are soon to announce the Virgin Mobile Union stage."

The name Captain comes from lead singer Rik Flynn's childhood dog, a delightful black Labrador. Captain themselves are made up of five distinctly individual people and came together in and around Cambridge. With music that sounds quintessentially of itself, Captain are certain to attract fans at this year's V festival.

Releasing herself from the duties of the Sugababes, Mutya Buena has put business aside and re-connected with music. Her album 'Real Girl' commenced in February last year and included a supporting cast of composers, producers and artists, including Amy Winehouse who presented her soul credentials for inspection. Festival fans are in for a treat when she makes her debut solo appearance at this year's V!

Jesse Mallin has just finished recording his third record, Glitter in the Gutter which follows his two previous critically acclaimed albums. His album features guest appearances from Bruce Springsteen, Ryan Adams and many more. Jesse is making his V debut this summer.

Seth Lakeman's look and style, is as far away from any woolly jumper folk stereotype as you can get. He delivers a rhythmic, contemporary sound and vivid lyrical imagery, fusing the energetic performance ethic of punk or rock with the heartfelt emotion of blues and soul. V goers should prepare to be charmed when he plays the festival this year.

ChungKingare making their debut appearance at V this year. Sean Henessey and Jessie Banks, are Brighton based, born and bred. The pair met when Sean was in a 'dodgy hippie band' and Jessie was 'going out with the drummer'. Their new album 'Stay up Forever' was recorded in a room above a pub in Brighton and the result is a gothic electro-pop adventure with a delicious new wave twist.
