Who is Victoria Blackie? "Country Music's Next Big Star In The Making" She launched her career as an independent artist as she traveled to Nashville to record her first Album "Wanted Man" which was released in 2009. That was the door opener for Victoria to show the world that she has what it takes to be a successful country artist. She is a petiti 5'1 powerhouse that only leaves you wanting more after each concert. Victoria is serious about her career. She knows what she wants she is very grateful to all the media and fans that are following her career on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Myspace.
A Star in the making, she started singing at a very early age and took dance , violin, guitar and voice lessons. She has sung the national anthem for small and very large crowds, city officials and dignitaries and received great accolades. She was a solo performer on a 7 week tour to Japan with a pop teen group at the age of 13 and sang at the 2002 Winter Olympics. No she just didn't start recently, this has been a life time of preparation.
Mainstream artist is her goal. Many Native American Artists struggle in making a transition to the mainstream world. There are 565 federally recognized American Indian tribes and Alaska Natives in the United States. They are very supportive to their artists and set the stage for them in Festivals, Pow-Wows, conventions and Rodeos. "They Are Successful" This Succesful Native Artist comes with a great following and great admiration.
The world needs great role models in the music industry. This is not only about the "Voice" but about the genuine person that she is and is a symbol of someone who is determined and has the talent to withstand the test of time. Her powerful voice is here to stay.
Victoria is a person of vision. Yes this year was the "NAMMYS" soon it will be the "GRAMMYS" it's just a matter of time. January 14th and 15th she will be performing at the "NAMM SHOW" in Anaheim, California.
She will also be singing as an invited guest with Shawn Michael Perry. A Song written by Perry that has all the makings of a "Great Country Hit Song" 4 Ever N' My Heart. He had the opportunity to share this song with some mainstream popular country females, however he decided that Victoria's voice takes the song to a heart wrenching level.
Victoria has been rubbing shoulders with other Native American Entertainers such as Wes Studi Grammy winner Bill Miller and will meet Shawn Michael Perrry at the NAMM SHOW in Anaheim, California.
