New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ASAP Productions & Public Relations) - Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald, front-men for Slightly Stoopid, a popular Ocean Beach, California indie band, are getting in on the act for a good cause. The rock duo are giving their used guitar strings to Wear Your Music - a company whose jewelry makers custom design eye-catching unisex bracelets using donated strings and recycled silver for charity.

The limited edition bracelet, which retails for $50.00 combines the strings of both Doughty and McDonald and will be available for purchase on September 15, 2010 at https://www.wearyourmusic.org

Proceeds from the sale of the bracelet go to support the World Food Programme, a non-profit chosen by the musicians. The WFP is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. For more information, please go to https://www.wfp.org.

Slightly Stoopid fans receiving the band's newsletter will be provided a code and given an opportunity to steal this bracelet at a discounted price.

Miles Doughty, front man for Slightly Stoopid says: "We really want to support the World Food Programme, and we are stoked to work with Wear Your Music and recycle our strings into guitar string bracelets where the profits are donated to such a great charity. We think they are an outstanding organization that does so much good throughout the world for the hungry and in times of need. We will continue to support their cause and strive to make sure every mouth is fed.' www.slightlystoopid.com/ss.php?skin=2

Wear Your Music has collaborated with more than 150 artists to offer one of the most unique pieces of merchandise that music fans will ever be able to get their hands on - or, rather, get on their hands.

A wide and impressive roster of music industry names has participated in the guitar string bracelet charity project. 'This year alone we've donated to over 52 charities on behalf of over 100 artists. This project makes me feel good when I wake up in the morning,' says Hannah Garrison Co-President of Wear Your Music.

So far bracelets on file in Wear Your Music's catalog are made from guitar strings plucked by some of the music world's most legendary guitarists and emerging acts - The Rolling Stone's Keith Richards, Carlos Santa, Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, Joan Jett, Avril Lavigne, John Mayer, Benji Madden, James Hefield Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton, Bryan Adams, David Cook, Brett Dennen, Willie Nelson, Tim McGraw, Ziggy Marley, Ben Harper, Nick Harmer and Dweezil Zappa to name a few.

The overwhelming response to the artist's goods inspired WYM to begin offering a line of lower priced bracelets as well as charms, necklaces and an expanding Rock'n'Roll jewelry line, which are also available on the organization's website.
