Wild Domestic Details Frustrated Storyline With New Single "Author"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Alternative rock band, Wild Domestic released their new single, "Author," a gripping rock anthem about the haunting feeling of paranoia after a relationship has ended. The song takes listeners through the emotional ups and downs of a broken relationship and illuminates the idea that one person might be to blame. The new single is the first off of the band's forthcoming EP, Singular due out in January 2017. "Author" is now available on iTunes and Spotify.

"Author" is a brutally honest alternative-rock track that encompasses all of the powerful emotions one can experience when going through a failed relationship. Starting off with a heavy guitar riff, Wild Domestic's vocals shine through before the drums kick in to set the true rock tone of the song. The track is full of in-your-face lyrics with lines like, "I tried to close up the distance, tried to prove it's not make believe. Kept trying to write an ending to the story, but we changed all of our characters and themes." The song has a consistent heavy sound and is tied together beautifully with an electrifying guitar solo after the bridge. Not afraid to wear their hearts on their sleeves, the band lays all their cards on the table with lyrics like, "I'm sick of waiting for a turn that will never come, so I am numb and empty, strike a match and light me up." Produced by Mike Pepe at MDDN Studios in Los Angeles, "Author" has a strong sound reminiscent to bands like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and Incubus.

Originally from Paraguay, Matt Carlson knew from a young age that music was his true calling. Carlson moved to Charlotte, North Carolina as a baby where he later learned to play guitar, bass, drums and keys. Completely immersed in the arts, Carlson was an actor in numerous local plays and commercials. He continued with acting and music simultaneously. However, after being in three different local bands in Charlotte, he went solo and became Wild Domestic. Carlson spent the last few years writing and performing his music locally and across the country. In 2015, Carlson's self-titled EP, WILD DOMESTIC was released.

"Author" is the new breakup anthem filled with gripping guitar riffs and beautifully honest lyrics. Wild Domestic is gearing up for the release of their second EP, Singular, releasing in January 2017. Download the new single on iTunes or stream it on Spotify.
