Music Awards, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night (November 24), honored
Taylor Swift with the artist of the year award for a third time. The American
Music Awards are being hosted by Pitbull.
Katy Perry opened the show with a live performance of "
Unconditionally" off her new album PRISM.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis led this year's nominees with six nods.
Taylor Swift and
Justin Timberlake followed with five nominations each, while Florida Georgia Line,
Rihanna and
Robin Thicke collected four nominations. Additionally,
Bruno Mars and
Imagine Dragons were nominated for three awards.
