New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Atlantic Records has announced its signing of international pop sensation Inna. The Romanian-born superstar's electrifying label debut single, "Cola Song," will be available on the iTunes Store beginning Tuesday, April 15th.
"
Cola Song" - featuring JBalvin, one of Columbia's premier reggaeton rappers, produced by TJR (Pitbull's "
Don't Stop The Party") and Axident (Far East Movement's "
Turn Up The Love") and co-written by Breyan Isaac (Flo Rida, Pitbull) and Andrew Frampton (Westlife, Natasha Bedingfield, Gavin DeGraw) -- was recorded at the famed Atlantic Records Studios in Los Angeles.
Furthermore, the sizzling "
Cola Song" companion video - shot earlier this year in Barcelona and Costa Rica by director/cinematographer John Perez, (Shakira, Rihanna, Jay Z, Paul McCartney, Beyoncé) - is set to have its much-anticipated world premiere on Tuesday, April 15th at Inna's record-breaking YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/user/InnaRomania.
"I feel that 'Cola Song' is one of my sexiest videos," Inna says. "It makes me feel good about myself, full of energy, ready for a long and beautiful summer. I hope all my Club Rockers will enjoy watching it - I know they will dance and have a good time listening to it."
Acclaimed as one of contemporary dance music's most diverse and distinctive stars, Inna famously made history as the first ever European female solo artist to surpass 1 billion individual views on YouTube, putting her in an elite club of worldwide superstars that also includes such icons as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Psy, and Skrillex.
Born Elena
Alexandra Apostoleanu, Inna first burst onto the world pop scene with 2008's "Hot," a massive international #1 as well as Billboard's "Hot Dance Airplay" year-end chart-topper here in the United States. Three successful albums and a seemingly endless string of smash singles have followed, including dance floor favorites like "Sun Is Up," "Party Never Ends," "Amazing," "Club Rocker (Feat. Flo Rida)," and "More Than
Friends (Feat. Daddy Yankee)." Fluent in three languages, Inna has also proven an in-demand featured artist, with recent high profile appearances including Pitbull's 2013 track, "All The Things (Feat. Inna)."
A large part of Inna's musical success derives from her deep connection to her Latin heritage, which she directly infuses into her music. Her rich cultural influences have been at the forefront of her art and have resulted in universal anthems -- placing 5 of her tracks on the iTunes Top 10 Dance Songs. Inna's rapidly expanding popularity in the Latin music arena was cemented when she sold out one of Mexico's largest and most famous venues, the Auditorio Nacional -- 3 separate times -- after 6 major tours in Mexico. "We are pleased to welcome Inna into our historic Atlantic Records family. She is truly electrifying and her passionate international fan base proves that her talent is globally recognized," says Mike Caren, President of Worldwide A&R, Warner
Music Group.
Based in Los Angeles, Barcelona, and her own beloved Bucharest, Inna is one of the world's biggest touring artists, headlining clubs and festival stages around the globe. Her current live itinerary includes stops in such far-flung locales as Turkey, Mexico, Guatemala, Spain, Hungary, Finland, and the United Kingdom (see below itinerary).
Along with her record-breaking YouTube popularity, Inna is an across the map online sensation, with more than 12.5 million Facebook likes (www.facebook.com/Inna) and close to 750,000 Twitter followers (twitter.com/inna_ro) thus far. In addition, she has also accumulated an extraordinary assortment of international honors, including multiple MTV
Europe and MTV Romania
Music Awards and nominations. As if that weren't enough, Inna is a committed activist and philanthropist, lending her powerful voice to international campaigns against deforestation and domestic violence.
