NEW YORK (Classic Media/ www.multivu.com) - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is one of the most popular holiday songs of all time. This year, superstars Destiny's Child join the ranks of more than 100 popular recording artists including Gene Autry, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, The Supremes, and Harry Connick, Jr. who have covered the 1949 hit by Johnny Marks.

The song and accompanying stop-animation music video by Destiny's Child are being released in celebration of the 40th annual broadcast of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer-the longest-running and highest-rated holiday special in television history. This exclusive new version of the famous holiday song will be included as a bonus CD single in the special 40th anniversary collector's edition Rudolph DVD released by Classic Media.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will also be featured in the repackaged "Original Television Christmas Classics" three-disc holiday DVD collection set which includes such perennial favorites as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, and The Little Drummer Boy.

Since 1964, more than 100 million families have tuned in to watch "the most famous reindeer of all" and his friends Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and the Misfit Toys save Christmas.
