NEW YORK (Modern Bride/ www.fairchildpub.com) - Not many brides can lay claim to the fact that their dream wedding gown will be designed by their own personal dressmaker, but Destiny Child's Kelly Rowland is not your typical bride. As soon as she announced her engagement to Dallas Cowboy Roy Williams, Kelly knew her "Aunt Tina" (mother of fellow singer Beyonce Knowles and the official stylist for Destiny's Child) would create the perfect dress just for her.

In the April/May 2005 issue of Modern Bride (on sale February 15th) the 24-year-old singer and actress (Freddy vs. Jason and the upcoming The Seat Filler) has fun trying on an array of wedding gowns while talking about her close family ties, and her plans to find balance between a busy career and a rewarding personal life.

* All of the guests will participate in the ceremony (which is scheduled for later this year) by placing flowers in a circle for the couple to stand inside while they are married. "It shows the family's love for the bride and groom," she explains. "It's really beautiful."

* After randomly meeting a couple of times, first at the NBA All-Star Game in 2002 and then on the set of her movie The Seat Filler in early 2003 - Roy was an investor in the project - Roy and Kelly fell in love at third sight at her birthday party in 2004 that took place at a Los Angeles bowling alley.

* Their first date was on Valentine's Day and Roy proposed just three months later by getting down on bended knee and saying, "Would you do me the honor of being my husband-I mean wife!"

* Kelly and Roy are choosing, Luther Vandross' "Here and Now" for their first dance-it was the song he was playing when he proposed to her.

* Her "girls"-Beyonce and Michelle Williams-have been giving her advice while they fly around the world and even Roy is contributing to the planning of their wedding despite her initial skepticism.
"He really put me in my place. He was like 'You're making all of the decisions-where do I come in?'" she remembers. Once again, Aunt Tina came to the rescue and reminded Kelly, "That's good that he wants to be involved."
