The infectious Phunk Dawg-produced single quickly became a national catchphrase with a peak position of No. 7 and No. 11 on Billboard's Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, respectively. The accompanying video was a staple on BET's 106 & Park, where it recently reached No. 1 on the popular show's countdown. The video also peaked at No. 5 on MTV's Total Request Live.
Riding off the excitement of the original single, Hurricane Chris enlisted an all-star lineup for the "A Bay Bay (Ratchet Remix)" which includes The Game, Baby, Jadakiss, Lil Boosie, and Angie Locc from Lava House. For those quick to dismiss Hurricane Chris' first single as a novelty hit will soon discover there's more to the 18 year-old when he showcases his ferocious freestyling skills in the booth on BET's Rap City on August 13th. Hurricane Chris will hit the late-night TV circuit with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on September 7th. Additionally, Hurricane Chris will be featured on an upcoming episode of MTV's'My Super Sweet'16 and will also perform on the Ozone Awards, airing for the first time on MTV Jams over the Labor Day Weekend (September 1-3).
