New York, NY (Top40 Charts) An up-and-coming Dancehall Reggae artist living in Old Harbour, Jamaica, named Keywee, has just signed a management deal with MVB Entertainment, and a recording contract with MVB Records.
His moniker is "Di gyal dem fruit" in Jamaican patois, which in American english means "the girls' fruit"; hence his artist name Keywee (Kiwi). Despite his artist name, the content in his current music catalog spans a range of topics.
On "Struggle", his first release on MVB Records, Keywee poignantly paints a picture of the everyday struggles of living in Jamaica's forgotten ghettos. With vivid lyrics like, "One dumplin, no butta-tings tuff inna di gutta, momma have it hard, but she neva mek we suffa", it's easy to see why Abdel "Sosa" Russell (owner of MVB Records) jumped at the chance to sign this new artist.
The song, "Struggle", is currently on iTunes pre-order with a release date of January 1st, 2018, but it is available now on the popular music streaming service Spotify, and other streaming services as well.
