Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives At The Roxy Theatre On October 15, 2014
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) WHO: Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives - Kenny Vaughan (guitar), Harry Stinson (drums, background vocals), Paul Martin (bass, background vocals)

WHAT: "Country music's most notable ambassador" Marty Stuart will bring the "original spirit" of country music to The Roxy Theatre on October 15. Joined by his band the Fabulous Superlatives, Stuart will perform music from his forthcoming album 'Saturday NIght & Sunday Morning' (9.30, Superlatone), which combines "hard-charging, good-timing country songs" with "deep gospel" (WSJ), speaking to the two distinct aspects of country music's identity over two discs, with the first disc capturing the energy of a modern day country concert (Saturday Night) and the second channeling the fervent and solemn spirit of country music's roots (Sunday Morning).

After being discovered by Lester Flatt as a country music prodigy at the age of 13, and proceeding to tour with Flatt's band, Stuart began photographing what he called, "the history in the making" that was going on around him, rubbing elbows with artists like Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Willie Nelson, among others. A five time GRAMMY-winner, platinum recording artist, Grand Ole Opry star, country music archivist, Stuart has also published a photography book exhibiting his work - American Ballads.

Listen to Stuart's "Uncloudy Day" off the 'Sunday Morning' disc:
