NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Atlantic Records has announced this week's release of "NOW OR NEVER," the new album from Tank. The Grammy Award-nominated R&B superstar's long awaited fourth album arrives in stores and at all online retailers on Tuesday, December 14th.

Tank - who is currently a "Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals" Grammy Award nominee for his collaboration with Chris Brown, "Take My Time (Feat. Tank)" - will celebrate the album's arrival with a day-of-release performance at New York's famed S.O.B.'s, presented by 98.7 KISS FM.

"NOW OR NEVER" is highlighted by the new single, "Emergency," which is currently ascending at Urban AC radio outlets nationwide. In addition, the track's companion video clip has just been added into rotation at Centric, where it recently debuted as part of the network's Soul Train Awards 2010 coverage.

Last week saw Tank heralding the release of "NOW OR NEVER" with a stirring performance of "Emergency" on BET's The Mo'Nique Show. Next up, Tank will be featured on the December 20th installment of Fox's Good Day NY (check local listings). Other recent TV appearances include The Daily Buzz, NBC New York's Non Stop Sound, NBC Philadelphia's The 10! Show, and Fox Miami's Deco Drive. Tank was also among the most visible stars at Centric's highly rated Soul Train Awards 2010, appearing as backstage interviewer, solo performer, and part of the show's all-star tribute to the legendary Ron Isley.

What's more, Tank and "NOW OR NEVER" have received an array of ecstatic press coverage, with reviews and features appearing in recent issues of such publications and online outlets as Heart & Soul, Sister2Sister, Smooth, Hip Hop Weekly, Essence.com, EbonyJet.com, HoneyMag.com, TheGrio.com, and Allhiphop.com.

With eight previous Grammy Award nominations and four acclaimed albums under his belt, Tank is one of modern R&B's most popular and enduring superstars. He made his Atlantic debut earlier this year with "Sex Music," the smash first single from "NOW OR NEVER." The track proved a major success at Urban radio, while its companion video drew heavy rotation at BET, Music Choice, and VH1 Soul.

His first full-length collection in three years, "NOW OR NEVER" marks Tank's most confident musical statement to date. Tracks such as the soaring "You Mean That Much" as well as collaborations like "Foreplay (Feat. Chris Brown)" and "Celebration (Feat. Drake)" see him bring the classic sound of traditional R&B into the modern era. The album is executive produced by Tank's own Los Angeles-based production company, Song Dynasty, with additional contributions by such top studio stars as Harvey Mason Jr. (Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson), Jim Jonsin & Rico Love (Beyonce', Usher), Brandon "B-Lex" Hodge, and Kevin Barnes of top beatmasters, KDP Productions. The result is a truly timeless collection of songs, where Tank crafts sensual, cinematic soul music that is uniquely his own.

"My music is the real me," says Tank. "I'll either live by that or I'll die by that in this business, but I've got to be me."

Born Durrell Babbs, Tank first attracted attention while working as one of Ginuwine's backing vocalists. In 2001, the Los Angeles-based artist released his RIAA gold-certified debut album, "FORCE OF NATURE," which included his first Top 10 R&B hit, "Maybe I Deserve." The album was also his first to make a No 1 debut on Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" chart (coming in this time at No 7 on the overall Billboard 200).

The following year saw the release of Tank's second album, "ONE MAN." The single's success saw Tank become one of R&B/hip-hop's most in-demand producer/songwriters and he spent the next five years collaborating with such stars as Jamie Foxx, Monica, Omarion, Dave Hollister, Brian McKnight, Tyrese, Joe, and Marques Houston. What's more, Tank served as an associate member of the hit-making production team, The Underdogs, with further credits including the smash soundtrack to the 2006 musical film adaptation of Dreamgirls (in which he also made a cameo).

In 2007, Tank returned to his stellar solo career with his third album, "SEX, LOVE & PAIN," which debuted atop Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" chart, while also coming in at No 2 on the main Billboard 200. The album's first single, "Please Don't Go," proved equally successful, serving 15 weeks as the No 1 single in urban radio, and reaching No 2 on Billboard's "R&B/Hip-Hop Songs." Furthermore, Tank received his first solo Grammy Award nominations for both "Best R&B Album" and "Best Male R&B Vocal Performance" (celebrating "Please Don't Go").

Since then, Tank has lent his distinctive vocals to tracks by Kelly Rowland and his new Atlantic labelmate, Plies, while also continuing to help create hit records for an array of top artists, including Keri Hilson, Pleasure P, Omarion, Chris Brown, and Jamie Foxx.
