New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Runway Soul celebrate 35 years of soul music with a visual presentation of music via an incredibly creative and original fashion show musical production.

Pamela Johnson introduce their highly anticipated new production, 'Runway Soul - The Fashion Musical', to Miami with the expressed intent of taking their audience on a musical journey through the heartbeat of soul music as they pay homage to the musicians and innovators of this beloved genre and a generation that grew up on 35 years or more of soul, rhythm and blues. Meriedy uses the visual arts to recount the yesteryears of her life, which is guaranteed to resonant with many in her audience. It's an interactive musical where guests take part in the production, while models-turn-actors, dancers, singers, artists, musicians and DJ's weave a tale of musical nostalgia that draws the audience onto the dance floor to "Get Down Boogie, Oogie, Oogie".
While this musical, fashion and artistic extravaganza promises to deliver an evening of transformational entertainment like never before, it also serves as a platform to mentor students of the arts. Scholarships will be offered to those selected mentees who perform above and beyond expectation while working side by side with the professional team throughout the production. Scholarships will be awarded to students in the following fields of study: Fashion Design & Production, Visual/Graphic Design, Culinary Arts, Event Planning and Music/Theatre Production. Runway Soul features internationally renowned and top local emerging fashion designers, local celebs, celebrity DJ's and hosts, in addition to the who's who of fashion, music, art, and local media.
Additionally a portion of the proceeds from the show will benefit their non-profit partner, The Motivational Edge - aka Irie Foundation Allapattah
Music & Literacy Center. The association has so many synergies because the foundation works to engage and enrich the lives of the children they serve through the arts, with specific emphasis on music. Proceeds will help off-set staffing, art and tutoring supplies, snacks and musical instruments.
The show debuts, Saturday February 21st in the Wynwood Art District at the Mana Wynwood Sound Studio located at 318 NW 23rd Street. General Admission tickets are $75 and VIP tickets are $125. VIP's will have premium runway seating and dance floor access, swag bags, a complimentary cocktail and experience a soulful culinary tasting.
The musical weekend culminates on Sunday, with a very special presentation of The Motivational Edge Art, Fashion and Musical Showcase, featuring entertainment from the center's students, a silent auction and a grand music and art display from the center's student collection. Tickets are $20 adult|$5 kids ages 4 and up.
