NEW YORK, NY. (Top 40 Charts/ Spymac) - Ryan Leslie, award-winning hip-hop and R&B music producer and songwriter, has teamed up with Spymac.com to recruit and groom online talent in the Spymac Next Selection competition.
Leslie, a.k.a. "R-Les" in the hip-hop world, joins Spymac as the first talent scout looking to identify and mentor emerging talent on the site. Artists and producers who upload content to Spymac will have a chance to be picked by Leslie in the Next Selection competition and be groomed for future stardom.
Spymac's partnership with R-Les comes in conjunction with the site's launch today of four new web channels: Singers & Musicians, Models & Actors, Comedians & Entertainers and Photographers & Filmmakers. Spymac will be announcing a series of partnerships with a number of celebrity figures to act as official talent scouts for the other new channels imminently.
Leslie's music industry credentials include collaboration as a producer and songwriter with artists such as Usher, Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Beyonce, and Britney Spears. R-Les was also the social-networking mastermind behind R&B artist Cassie's August 2006 climb to No. 3 on Billboard's singles chart and No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart with the hit "Me & U."
With his impressive array of music industry experience and celebrity connections, Leslie offers the best music-related talent and budding artists on Spymac an opportunity to jump-start their music careers.
"Our goal is to offer the Spymac community a real opportunity to get a foothold in the creative industry and to help them work with the best people in their field," said Holger Ehlis, CEO and co-founder of Spymac. "Ryan's exemplary track record in social media marketing, as well as his impressive list of influential contacts makes him the ideal person to head talent recruitment for our new Singers & Musicians channel. We are excited to have him on board."
In addition to competing for selection by Leslie and other forthcoming talent-scouts, Spymac users can also vie for a share of Spymac's monthly advertising revenue. The site's Top 100 charts rank the most popular users and their content, with monthly jackpots paid out to the winners. The first-place prize for the most popular piece of content on Spymac is $10,000. Various other cash prizes are awarded to everyone that is listed in the site's monthly Top 100 Chart competition.
