NEW YORK (AP) - As expected, rapper Snoop Dogg has finalized his new record deal with MCA Records. The worldwide deal also brings in Snoop's Doggy Style Records � which includes Soopafly, E-White, La Toiya Williams, and Kokane - to the MCA family for marketing and distribution purposes. The new deal goes beyond just music, though. It also includes the production of companion films that will star each of Doggy Style's artists, which will go direct-to-video via Snoopadelic Films. As an actor, Snoop is currently in the movie Bones and has appeared in Training Day, Baby Boy, I Got the Hook Up, Urban Menace, among others. Snoop's latest album, the soundtrack to Bones , was released on Oct. 9 on Priority Records and debuted at No. 39 on The Billboard 200 a few weeks ago. In July, his Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz album, Duces 'N Trayz: The Old Fashioned Way was released on Doggy Style via TVT Records. Prior to that, he was on Master P's No Limit Records and before that, on Death Row Records, which released his 1996 landmark album, Doggystyle.
