Sophia Brown To Headline Award Show With R&B/Disco Legend Melba Moore
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Award winning female singer Sophia Brown has a big date in the US on November 22nd 2014! The "Gimme That Good Love" singer, who was recently honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2014 Linkage Awards in New York, will join R&B/disco legend Melba Moore as headline performers at the inaugural Lady Flava Radio Network Awards Show, slated to take place in Hartford, Connecticut.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to share stage with an R&B legend like Melba Moore, who has not only given so much to the music industry but is an acclaimed actress as well. I see this as a tremendous opportunity for me to broaden my musical horizon and work with a different kind of an audience. I am ready to rock the house" she said.

Brown and Melba Moore will join international acts T-Quest, Donny Wright, Lady Flava and pop rock singer Mo Brown as performers at the red carpet event.

Aside for being a performer, Brown is nominated in the "Best Female Lovers Rock Vocalist" category at the award show which will also honor stars in hip hop, R&B, gospel and dancehall music.

"It's always nice to be recognized for your work but what make this award even more special to me is that it is not coming from the Jamaican diaspora so to speak but from the wider music and film industry in the USA."

Earlier this year Brown shot the video for her combination single "We're Lovers" in Los Angles with singer Black Ice. Her summer release 'Wide Awake,' a lovers rock ballad about falling in love was produced by Christopher Tyrell and is being distributed by Zojak Worldwide. She also recorded three other songs which will be included on her forthcoming album. The tracks were produced by Linval Brown, who has enjoyed chart success with Junior Reid, Beenieman, Fanton Mojah and Luthan Fyah.

On September 30th, the glamorous singer will drop a sizzling new R&B flavored single titled 'Rain Over Me' that is sure to set tongues wagging. A sexy video for the track will be shot in New York in November. Distribution for the song will be handled by Zojak Worldwide.

Brown is also boosting her merchandising line that she started in 2010. The Sophia Brownline of products is manufactured and distributed worldwide by Cafe Press, a company, which specializes in custom designed items and includes window curtains, yoga mats, wall clocks and maternity wear.
